Ian Halperin Targets Brad and Angelina

The net is a buzz about “investigative journalist” Ian Halperin’s new book Brangelina: Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie (aka Brangelina Exposed) This juicy tell all book is set for release on December 1st … just in time for Christmas.
I think we should do some “investigative journalism” on Ian Halperin.

Ian Halperin is a Canadian investigative journalist and writer from Montreal, Quebec, whose 2009 book, Unmasked: The Final Years of Michael Jackson, went to number one on the New York Times bestseller list on July 24, 2009. He is the author or coauthor of nine books, including Celine Dion: Behind the Fairytale, Fire and Rain: The James Taylor Story and Hollywood Undercover. He coauthored Who Killed Kurt Cobain? and Love and Death: The Murder of Kurt Cobain with Max Wallace. Ian has contributed to 60 Minutes II and is a regular correspondent for Court TV.
Wow. Impressive credentials! I can’t wait to see how he nails Brad and Angelina next month. Let’s go over to Amazon and find out more about that Michael Jackson New York Times bestseller of his. Currently, Ian’s book has 98 one star ratings out of 168 reviews. Ouch! Well over 50% think his Jackson book is pure garbage.

Having followed Ian’s other explosive celebrity scoops and books over the past several years I sort of knew what to expect with this one. Ian is the one who exclusively revealed on his blog that Angelina Jolie has sex daily with men, women, dogs, plants, and suggestively even her own children. He claims that Brad Pitt impregnated a mysterious Sudanese model who then traveled to Cannes this year to confront him, but then never said another word about it. He claimed multiple times that David Carradine was murdered, when in fact the forensic experts confirmed that Carradine died of accidental erotic asphyxiation. One of his biggest things is to “out” celebrities and in his mind most all of Hollywood is gay. Unfortunately, none of Ian’s exclusives have ever been substantiated by any factual evidence, and most read more like fabricated tales than concrete accounts.
Late last year Ian first alleged (as he does in his book) that Michael Jackson was suffering from a potpourri of deadly diseases including but not limited to Alpha-1 Antitrypsin Deficiency, chronic gastrointestinal bleeding, severe emphysema, 95% blind in his left eye, near mute, lung and liver diseases and in dire need of a transplant, serious back and leg pain, virtually bedridden and unable to get out, amongst other outlandish illnesses which seemed to grow each week. After these claims were roundly denied by Michael Jackson, Ian aggressively promised to bring out medical records and evidence to support these claims, he never did so but instead challenged Michael to take a medical exam to prove he didn’t have such illnesses. In fact, a mandatory five hour medical exam was conducted several months ago as required by the insurance carriers of the concert series in London (which Ian never mentioned until the day Michael made the announcement himself). The certified doctors responsible for this 50-point exam, including one from New York, confirmed that other than a slight hay fever (cold) he was in great health and the only other illnesses he had was his well known skin condition Vitiligo and Lupus. After Michael Jackson passed away, forensic experts and those conducting the autopsy again made note that he did NOT die due to natural causes or lingering illnesses and that we’d have to wait for a toxicology report. It is suspected that a single anesthetic was administered by an inexperienced doctor which led to his shocking death, not all of the reasons Ian has proclaimed.
Two:
Celebrity biographers are an interesting breed. It’s important to keep questioning their motives as you read along. Some do it for wealth, some do it for fame, some do it to glorify or defame their subject. Very rarely do you find someone committing their life’s work to the raw truth in these type of profiles. Not when sensationalism sells. Halperin’s latest work should be considered professional fan fiction.
Bingo. Mr. Halperin dishes lies for the money and December is going to be a cash cow for him. Tabloid work in book form is Mr. Halperin’s specialty. So, all you Brangelina haters out there, enjoy your Brangelina fiction present this Christmas.
Bah! What ever can’t wait to get my hand on this book!

Ian Halperin writes books about the most fascinating people. First Michael Jackson and now Brad and Angelina. I read that he interview 900 people for this bio. It should be a good one.

The Jolie-Pitts have done so much for this world. Angelina alone has worked hard hours and long days to bring some relief to the refugees of this world.
I think it is utterly disguisting and horrible this bottom-feeder Ian would write such trash about them. It seems that there will always be those miserable few in this world, who have to tear down those that are doing such good, just because he can get the ratings.
I say we boycott the liar and miserable tabloid chaser, Ian Halperin, and support these two bright and amazing people.
I think we should give the book a chance. We’re so quick to believe all the good things that the press prints about Brangelina. Why shouldn’t we consider the possibility that there might be a darker side to their relationship. That darker side wouldn’t necessarily undermine any good work the couple might do for charity. And you should remember, good and bad can come together. Roman Polanski made a very moving movie about the horrors of world war 2, but he is also a convicted rapist. Does that make his movie any less meaningful?
I agree with you, Mike. People are acting like the intention of this book is to cast Brangelina in a negative light, but I’ve read reviews that says that it portrays Angelina Jolie as a very driven and successful person. Good people can have flaws. We idolize celebrities, but that doesn’t mean that they are perfect. We shouldn’t be angry at a biographer for pointing out their flaws.
First off, Ian Halperin is not someone I admire.
But then, I also am not an admirer of Jolie’s. I am not impressed by her attempts at gaining the reputation of a humanitarian. Her efforts all comes across as very desperate and self-serving. In fact, I suspect the rumors of her “displeasure” with President Obama have more to do with her feeling slighted by the current administration. I imagine she was expecting some sort of public acknowledgment for her U.N. sponsored travels. Perhaps hoping to take a more prominent position on the world stage.
In any case, a reputation such as hers , created almost entirely by skillful public relations worker-bees, does not count for a whole lot – even if many in the public buy into it.
I am not by any stretch of the imagination implying that I have Hollywood connections but I have been told that many respected and important members of the Hollywood community make a point of staying away from Jolie: apparently her reputation precedes her.
But as always, the Hollywood marketing machine is oiled and working as furiously as ever.
hes only after the money and not reliable! how he knows everything about brangelina is he inside the house everyday or he just copy all the negativity about angelina and brad? or somebody pays him to write this books? i really dont know why these peoples haters are so ridiculous and not stopped talking and make very bad statements and bad aricles about these two, but in fact they are great and sincere and honest. im sure these couples are real as those haters! you should leave them alone.
As an MJ and Brangelina fan, I find it disturbing that anyone would read/support this man’s work.
There’s a long list of DISHONORS to go along with his “honors”, as well. AND he made up about half of his own credentials; ie, they’re lies or don’t actually exist. He included in his honors one that his CLASS recieved back when he was in high school… and presents it as if it were some career honor he earned on his own.
His book “Unmasked” was full of lies and twisted truths. Anyone who knows a lot about MJ can tell you that. Sure, it may have been an interesting read, but that doesn’t make it true. You know, if you want more accuracy, read “The Magic, the Madness, the Whole Story.” It’s still untrue in some parts, but at least we know MOST of it is true, as Michael has even said so himself.
This Brangelina book… I saw it at the bookstore when shopping for Christmas presents, and I was excited until I saw the name “Ian Halperin.” The man LIES. Point blank, plain and simple. Don’t fall into his lies, people. Why support it, just because you wanna feel like you know who Brad and Angelina really are? Just because it FEELS true doesn’t make it true. Consider it fan fiction. Tell-Alls are never good to read… they’re designed to sell.
I suggest you wait for the Auto-Biography, or a supported biography, by someone who the Jolie-Pitts approve.
I’m not saying believe your stars are perfect. I know they’re not. MJ was far from perfect, and so are Brad and Angie… but JUST BECAUSE some book claims to show their flaws doesn’t mean it DOES. It might just be entertainment, and nothing else.
Sure, there’s dirt there. There’s dirt in EVERYONE’s life. But IAN HALPERIN doesn’t know what the hell he’s talking about. If you just want to be entertained, feel free to read his book… but don’t take everything he says at face value. Okay? Okay.
Wow! Some people are really obsessed with Brangelina. I can’t believe they’re losing sleep over the Brangelina book.
